Forte dei Marmi also welcomes our four-legged friends, in accordance with Article 7 of the Regulations governing the use of sandy areas, beaches, and bathing activities

Dear furry guests, Forte dei Marmi opens its doors to you as well, inviting you to enjoy one of Italy’s most beautiful and exclusive coastlines. Dogs are allowed access to the shoreline before 8:00 a.m. and after 8:00 p.m.

According to regulations available at the link above, dogs may enter private beach clubs where permitted, provided they are kept on a leash and wear a muzzle if required. Guide dogs for the visually impaired, rescue dogs, and service dogs accompanying law-enforcement agencies are, of course, always welcome. Owners are responsible for supervising their pets at all times, ensuring cleanliness and consideration for other guests.

Give your dog a chance to enjoy freedom, play, and socialization surrounded by the natural setting of Forte dei Marmi. The Municipality provides dedicated off-leash dog areas, fully equipped for our four-legged companions, located in:

The areas are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. during the summer season

For many years, Forte dei Marmi has proudly hosted numerous initiatives by the Italian School of Water Rescue Dogs, offering a powerful example of the vital role animals play in our lives.

The Italian School of Water Rescue Dogs (SICS) is the largest organization in Europe dedicated to training water rescue dogs and their handlers. It operates as a Civil Protection volunteer service, open to anyone who owns a dog with suitable characteristics and wishes to dedicate time to helping others, sharing with their four-legged partner both a love of the sea and the satisfaction of serving the community.
