Republic Day: Forte dei Marmi marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Italian Republic. On Tuesday, June 2, the official ceremony will take place in Piazza Dante, followed in the afternoon by a concert by the town band La Marinara in Piazza Garibaldi. For the holiday weekend, the Department of Tourism has also planned a program for children and families. From May 31 to June 3, the Pontile will be illuminated in the colors of the Italian flag.
Forte dei Marmi is set to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Italian Republic with an institutional program scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2026, beginning at 9:45 am with the laying of a wreath at the Monument to the Fallen of All Wars, followed by the official commemoration and greetings from the authorities. At 6:30 pm, in Piazza Garibaldi, the day will continue with a concert by the town band La Marinara.
For the Republic Day holiday weekend, the Department of Tourism has also planned a program designed for children and families, bringing Piazza Garibaldi to life with activities dedicated to play and entertainment.
On Sunday, May 31, from 8:30 pm, Parade at Sunset, a street performers’ show, will take place. On Monday, June 1, and Tuesday, June 2, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, Waiting for the Children’s Pine Grove will feature circus school activities, games, and face painting. On Tuesday at 9:30 pm, a Juggling and Fire Show will take the stage.
To mark Republic Day, from May 31 to June 3, the Pontile will be illuminated in the tricolor, paying tribute to the colors of the Italian flag and to the deep significance of this important national anniversary.
