Blue Flag 2026 Ceremony to take place on Tuesday, July 7
An evening dedicated to the sea, the environment, safety, and local traditions will take place on Tuesday, July 7, on the occasion of the official ceremony for the 2026 Blue Flag, the prestigious award recognizing water quality, environmental sustainability, services, and tourist hospitality along the coastline. This achievement is the result of a path built over time through the commitment of the Municipal Administration, beach club operators, associations, municipal offices, residents and local organizations.
The ceremony will begin at 9:00 pm in Piazza Dante, where the Blue Flags will be presented to the beach clubs of Ponente and Levante, the Children’s Beach, WWF, the Local Maritime Office, and the Nardini family, who will celebrate the 15th edition of the “Giuseppe Nardini Award” in Gramolazzo on July 12.
After the flag presentation, a celebratory parade will begin, accompanied by the La Marinara town band and led by the top three crews from the 2026 edition of “Save a Life,” scheduled for that same morning, July 7. The parade will also include children from the Forte Campus Summer Centers, together with the historic Contrada Il Ponte and its costumed participants in period dresses.
The procession will then reach the Loading Pier, where the Blue Flag will be raised in the presence of the authorities, residents, and many visitors.
The event will conclude with the parade returning to Piazza Garibaldi, followed by the final performance by the flag throwers of Contrada Il Ponte.
