Forte dei Marmi welcomes the classic cars of the “Terre di Canossa” 2026
From May 7 to 10, 75 crews will take part in Terre di Canossa, a regularity rally for historic cars along some of the most captivating roads between Tuscany and Liguria. Once again, the itinerary will showcase the excellence and hospitality of the territories crossed throughout the journey.
The Forte dei Marmi stage, held under the patronage of the Municipality, will see the rally depart from Piazza Marconi on Friday, May 8, where 75 vintage automobiles will animate the town center from 8:30 a.m. for the opening stage of the tour. The cars will return to Piazza Marconi on Saturday, May 9, from 4:00 p.m., marking the conclusion of the second stage.
Founded in 2011, Terre di Canossa is included in the national ACI Sport calendar as a “Regularity Super Touring” competition for historic cars and selected supercars, with international participation. More than a sporting event, it is above all a celebration of culture and tourism: an extraordinary journey along the ancient roads once linked to Matilda of Canossa, crossing remarkable landscapes, art cities, industrious villages, unspoiled mountain towns, and charming seaside hamlets.
“Terre di Canossa perfectly embodies the kind of experiential and high-quality tourism that Forte dei Marmi is proud to welcome and promote,” notes Tourism Councilor Graziella Polacci. “The presence of an internationally oriented event capable of combining elegance, history, culture, landscape, and gastronomic excellence confirms our town’s vocation not only as a destination, but also as a hub for encounter and storytelling. Forte dei Marmi becomes part of this itinerary through its identity, hospitality, and ability to engage with initiatives that promote Made in Italy in a sophisticated and authentic way.”
Particularly significant is the focus on hospitality: a gastronomic journey through regional recipes and local specialties, celebrating the finest traditions of the territories involved. This naturally leads to the international promotion of these destinations, highlighting their history, culture, and outstanding excellence – from cuisine to craftsmanship.
