Faithful to Reality

Fondazione Villa Bertelli is presenting a prestigious new exhibition, “Faithful to Reality: Thirty Years of Painting by Renato Santini,” curated by Elisabetta Matteucci. The exhibition will open on Friday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m., in the Sala Ferrario at Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi, and will remain on view through Sunday, March 1. Admission is free daily from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The opening will be attended by the artist’s son, Antonello Santini, and curator Elisabetta Matteucci. Renato Santini was a distinguished painter from Viareggio, born in 1912 and passed away in 1995.

As noted in the exhibition statement: “The refined selection of works presented in the spaces of Villa Bertelli offers visitors the opportunity to retrace Renato Santini’s artistic production over an especially joyful and fruitful period, spanning from the early 1930s through the second half of the 1950s.”
