Cinema under the stars at Villa Bertelli
Cinema in Villa premieres at Villa Bertelli. The big screen takes center stage once again, bringing nine evenings of auteur cinema, international blockbusters, and family-friendly films to the park of Villa Bertelli. A new cultural initiative that revives the charm of summer movie nights under the stars in Forte dei Marmi.
The summer of 2026 in Forte dei Marmi welcomes what is set to become one of the season’s most evocative events. Conceived by Mayor Bruno Murzi and promoted by Fondazione Villa Bertelli with the patronage of the Municipality of Forte dei Marmi, Cinema in Villa – a new experimental film festival – will run from June 19 to August 21, transforming the Villa Bertelli park into an open-air cinema with nine evening screenings designed for a wide range of audiences.
The initiative expands the town’s summer cultural offerings while also reconnecting with a cherished local tradition. For many, outdoor cinema recalls memories of evenings in Vittoria Apuana, when going to the movies was not simply about watching a film, but about gathering together, sharing a moment of community life, and stepping out of the house with the simple joy and unique anticipation that only certain summer evenings can create.

With this new film festival, we want to offer a high-caliber cultural experience while bringing back a tradition that shaped the youth of many residents. Watching a film outdoors in such a stunning setting recaptures the atmosphere of summer evenings from years past and offers a truly enjoyable experience. Villa Bertelli continues to evolve as a vibrant cultural hub, hosting exhibitions, concerts, talks, theater, and now an open-air film series as well. We strongly believe in culture’s ability to create opportunities for participation and connection. Cinema in Villa reflects exactly that vision: a simple, accessible, and high-quality program catering to diverse audiences.”
Program
The series opens on Friday, June 19, at 9:30 pm with Le cose non dette, directed by Gabriele Muccino and starring Stefano Accorsi, Miriam Leone, Claudio Santamaria, Carolina Crescentini, Beatrice Savignani, and Margherita Pantaleo. The program continues on Friday, June 26, with Wuthering Heights. July screenings include Nuremberg on Friday, July 3, La grazia on Friday, July 10, Zootropolis 2 on Friday, July 24, and Buen Camino on Friday, July 31. In August, Villa Bertelli’s park will host Jumpers on Friday, August 7, The Drama on Friday, August 14, and Oi vita mia on Friday, August 21, which will conclude the series.
