Terapia forestale nei boschi delle Alpi Apuane
Not just the sea

Forest Therapy

The new path to well-being in contact with nature, is just a stone’s throw from Forte!

Hippocrates described “Vis medicatrix naturae” as “the healing power of nature.” This ever-relevant teaching is now backed up by scientific studies that report that walking in the greenery of woods and forests reactivates the immune, endocrine, and neuro-psychic systems, eliminating pollutant toxins and decreasing stress and other contemporary ailments.

That’s why the green heart of the mountains behind Forte dei Marmi is home to the first and – so far – only Forest Therapy station in the Apuan Alps: the “Adelmo Puliti” Alpine hut. A retreat nestled in the breathtaking beechwood of Mount Altissimo and owned by the CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) section of Pietrasanta, featuring guided trails, therapeutic meditation, preventive medical therapy, and other thrilling practices.

Nature performs its salvific role up here, blazing a new trail to well-being and psycho-physical harmony.
