For the first time, Forte dei Marmi is hosting a stage of the Giro-E Enel, the cycling tourism event organized by RCS Sport that takes place alongside the Giro d’Italia, on the same roads and during the same days as the Corsa Rosa, using electric-assist road bikes.
The heart of the event will be the Green Fun Village, a dynamic space open to everyone, featuring entertainment, games, interactive booths, activities focused on recycling and environmental sustainability, entertainment segments, and presentations by local sports, cultural, and volunteer organizations.
The village will also feature a pump track—a bike course with curves and bumps—available to the public thanks to the bikes and equipment provided by the organizers. Activities will also be designed for children, with games, giveaways, and initiatives spread across the various stands in the area.
Next to the village, the sporting portion of the Giro-E Enel will take place, an event that allows even non-professionals to experience the Giro d’Italia through the use of e-bikes.
10:00 a.m. – Official presentation of the participating teams on the village’s main stage, equipped with a large screen.
11:30 a.m. – Start of the Giro-E Enel stage
12:30 PM - Passing of the Giro d’Italia caravan
1:30 PM - Passing of the seventh stage of the Corsa Rosa
Among the captains and expected guests are some true legends of Italian cycling, such as Damiano Cunego, Gianni Bugno, and Claudio Chiappucci. Alongside the big names in cycling, personalities from the world of entertainment and television will also be present.
In conjunction with the Giro-E Enel and the passage of the tenth stage of the Giro d’Italia, temporary changes to traffic and parking regulations will be in effect on Tuesday, May 19, in various areas of the municipality.
